vrayEditDRSettings() now makes 3dsmax freeze ...

Hello,

I'm developping a little in-house tool for several weeks now, that provides (between several other things) an access to DR settings window. However, now that we've switched on v3.20.02, I've noticed this morning that maxscript access to V-Ray distributed rendering settings with the vrayEditDRSettings() now makes 3dsmax freeze, whereas is worked perfectly with VRay previous versions ... the only way is to close the process using Windows tasks manager ! However, accessing these DR settings through the UI works fine, as expected.

Any clue, please ?

I can reproduce it here. Perhaps the latest changes have broken the DR settings access from a script.
We will inform you when we have it fixed.

Settings bugs in 3.20.02



I've just had v3.20.02 freeze in the Settings UI when I clicked on Cache Limit Type. It does this repeatably. See above screenshot.



Also, per this screenshot, my System Settings dialog is missing several options - notably the ability to redirect the vraylog file - I really need this, to give our users controlled access to the logs on our rendernodes.

If you switch to Advanced or Expert UI mode you will be able to see all options.

I've been installing and configuring VRay (but not using - I'm my clients' sysadmin) since 2006 - Max, SketchUp, Rhino, probably several dozen installs in total - and these options have always been visible in a default installation, so I've never needed to know about the Advanced/Expert UI switch. If v3 behaves differently maybe I'd better go read some documentation ... like the second section of the readme which tells me this

Sorry to insist, but we've finally installed v3.20.03 (several projects are delivered), and trying to open DR window through maxscript still makes 3dsmax freezing ! just type vrayEditDRSettings() in the listener and you'll see
Any idea, please ??
