                          I feel Vray is usually the fastest to implement new/proper/useful stuff into the engine after thorough considerations of the think tank as well as being compatible with new ver. of host DCC applications.
                          Being cutting edge on graphics research is probably not cheap nor cost-effective most of the time, but I just sometimes hope to see more Vlado and the team joining conference to discuss advanced shading/lighting/rendering research (not software tips or tricks) they have been doing, along with other devs or RnD guys from other render engines and studios.

                            Well, I want that too and we are trying, but it's a lot of work to prepare stuff for publication...

                              Totally understandable, Vlado. That's just my selfish wish to not only seeing Vray being the first to evaluate and adopt the latest and greatest stuff but also swim at the very forefront to break the first wave for others to adopt. Not too mention the preparation for publication you just said.
