Sorry, I've enabled the light include list by mistake. Just go to the Exclude option of the lights and make sure the button Exclude is active, not Include.
Anyways, I tried Raytraced for the material and the issue still persists.Max 2023.2.2 + Vray 6 Update 2.1 ( 6.20.06 )

Now that the changelog of Beta 2 is released, I took a quick peek at it and found a couple of things that are still not working for me. One of them is the problem with VrayFastSSS2 materials and Adaptive lights. Maybe I'll have to check out the ALSurface material as a workaround for the time being as you suggested.

The fix is applicable only for Raytraced scattering of the VRayFastSSS2. Try to avoid the prepass mode, it can lead to undesirable effects with the new algorithms.If it was that easy, it would have already been done

Ok, got it. It does work fine with raytraced scattering. I'll try to remember to avoid prepass mode with Adaptive lights.
