  • Vray Cloud Renders keep failing

Vray cloud rendering was working fine yesterday but today every render keeps failing. Even tried a scene with a simple cube n 1 light, still failed. Anyone else have a clue whats going on or dealing with the same issue?

You are correct. This problem seems to specifically affect Maya 2022 users. We're investigating the issue and fix it as soon as we understand exactly what is going on. Will keep you informed.

Sounds like you guys are on it, but just wanted to report the same - keep getting the following error message:

"Failed subjobs threshold exceeded: 13 subjobs failed"

How do you guys still not have this fixed, or even an update? I've been desperately needing to render multiple projects for clients. It's been 24 hours and we still don't have a resolution, much less an update on what's going on.

          Totally unacceptable.

It took us some time but we've finally identified the problem. As far as we could tell it was affecting only Maya 2022 users and it is now fixed. We chose to focus all of our effort into figuring this out and sadly I forgot to update you guys here on what is going in.

FYI I this failure definitely was also affecting Maya 2020, and may still be (I haven't tested it yet). I tried rendering my client's scenes from both and both failed. I even started a completely fresh scene in both 2020 and 2022, with nothing but a cube and a light, and both failed on Chaos Cloud.

For the record, you guys should never leave customers hanging for four days when you run a critical infrastructure service like this. I've invested thousands of dollars in render credits over the years and there is nothing more frustrating than losing a critical service and having the provider just disappear. It takes less than a minute to provide an update.

Hello and once again apologies for the delayed answer from our team!
I have just performed a quick test with Maya 2020 and Maya 2022 and everything is rendered successfully in our cloud.

I posted my own thread with a similar issue, except with 3Ds Max 2022 - The issue is definitely not solved.

I have this same issue with vray for rhino, i have updated vray nd tried with multiple files but same result they are all failing... I have sent multiple reports but no response or resolution.

THIS IS WHAT IS IN THE LOG : The worker machine has gone offline: unknown. Please resubmit your job to render it again.
