my.chaosgroup.com redirects to 'edit profile' not the licencing page? Anyone else have this problem?

  • my.chaosgroup.com redirects to 'edit profile' not the licencing page? Anyone else have this problem?

    I'm trying to manage my borrowed licences as per the instructions here: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...or+Offline+Use.

    However when I go to my.chaosgroup.com (see Borrowing Licenses without Internet connection, part way down the page), it just takes me to https://accounts.chaosgroup.com/profile/edit. Unless I'm being stupid, this isn't right is it?

    Any help here would be great as non of our render nodes can do anything without this working. Tbh I'm not very impressed with chaos group licencing. It took ages to setup the borrowed licences, they kept on getting dropped by the nodes, and now I want to revoke the borrowed licences I can't because my.chaosgroup.com redirects me to my profile where I can do nothing. Very poor in my opinion.

    I've raised a support ticket, but I've done that before and it took them about a week to do anything, plus my account was not able to post on the form because of some technical issue their side.

    so frustrating!

      Hi,

      One of my colleagues wrote in the ticket. If you have internet access to the license server computer in the moment of borrowing - it'll be best to borrow licenses through the menu(http://127.0.0.1:30304/#/borrow in the browser on the license server computer)https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...or+Offline+Use
      If the license server is completely offline (no internet connection) - you'd need to borrow licenses every 2 weeks manually.
      Currently, my.chaosgrou.com is working correctly.

        Never seen any info about http://127.0.0.1:30304/#/borrow. The instructions as per https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...r+Offline+Use: states that we login to my.chaosgroup.com, where I can manage the borrowed licences. This was not working Friday evening through to monday morning, which meant that an important deadline was missed as the nodes could not complete the task. I would appreciate the acknowledgement that there was a fault over the weekend that you have now corrected rather than saying it simply works now, which infers there was never a problem. I'm fine with technical problems, even if they relate to licencing which is a system in place for Choas group not the user. However it clearly isn't very efficient and has bugs (I have had many problems with it thus far) so 24 hour support should be available so these problems can be addressed. I'm sorry but I see this as very poor support.
