  • V-Ray License Server error

Hi I installed Vray and the license server, but it did not work and kept crashing SketchUp Pro. I think the problem occurred when i clicked install on two instances at the same time.

So, I tried to uninstall the V Ray Server and try again, but it won't install. It says close vrol.exe, which i think is part of your program. I can not close it. I restarted my computer several times and it has the same issue. Please help me uninstall and try again, or if you have another way to get it to work let me know. I uninstalled Vray okay, it is just the server that won't unistall because vrol.exe is always running on my computer for some reason.

I attached a screen shot, thanks for hopefully helping out.

    Hello,

    Please try the following:
    1. Type "services.msc" in Windows start menu search bar then open it.
    2. Locate the VRLService then right click on it and select "stop" then close the services.msc window.
    3. Download the latest version of the V-Ray Online License Server from here:
    https://download.chaosgroup.com/license-server
    4. Right click on the setup file then select the "Run as administrator" option and proceed with the setup.

Hi for some reason your software is crashing on my computer

I also wrote another thread regarding Vray crashing Sketchup Pro, i do have the lastest software from microsoft and disabled Dynamic Extension in Sketchup

The issue is with the server, when i tried to uninstall, it will not stop running, attached screenshot is after over 10 minutes of waiting for it to shut down, I was actually going to shut it down per your directions, but it was already trying to stop itself from my trying to uninstall it. I also disabled firewall etc, please help as this is totally frustrating i have spent many hours and over 20 sketchup crashes trying to get it to work

and here is the only error i get in sketchup, when i try to do most things it just crashes, When sending Sketch up a bug report, it forwards me to a url saying it is a Vray issue. Thanks for hopefully staying with me until we can get your software working on my system.

Can you try to delete the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup\ssl folder". After that reinstall the license server - https://download.chaosgroup.com/down...dalone-511-adv
Navigate to http://localhost30304 in your browser and check if you can enable Online licensing - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...tup-Activation
