  • Phoenix FD compatibility with V-Ray Next for 3ds Max

    Hey all,

Since today's Phoenix nightlies for 3ds Max, the "vray4" Phoenix builds now support V-Ray Next Beta 2. This means we now have Phoenix fire/smoke native rendering on the GPU

Note that from this moment the nightly installations that have 'vray4' in their names won't be compatible with V-Ray Next Beta 1 anymore and might not render in some modes or might not load at all.

    Cheers!

    Hey everyone,

We've updated the Phoenix for 3ds Max "vray4" nightlies to V-Ray Next Beta 3 SDK. The first nightly is with build ID 28170.

As with the previous updates, from this point all new nightlies will be compatible only with the official Beta 3 and Beta 2 will not be supported.

If the Phoenix plugin does not load, does not render correctly, or crashes on render, make sure you are using and official Beta 3 and not an older Beta or a V-Ray nightly.

    Cheers and happy rendering

      Hey again,

Starting with build ID 28282 from May 24, the Phoenix "vray4" nightly builds are now compatible with the official release of V-Ray Next.

Now that the V-Ray 4 SDK is frozen, things will be back to normal and the latest Phoenix nightlies will be compatible with both the official V-Ray Next from chaosgroup.com, as well as with all the latest V-Ray Next nightlies.

      Cheers!
