  • PHX and VRAY GPU feature parity with VRAY CPU table?

Is there a table somewhere that details what and what isnt supported in Vray GPU and Phoenix?
Just came across the bloody annoying limitation of not being able to render points for splash and foam - Whats the work around here for Vray GPU?

    Another Vray GPU failure!

    Hey,

Here you can find a table containing the supported V-Ray and Phoenix features in 3ds Max - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...atures+Support.

And here are the supported features in Maya - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...atures+Support.

    Hope this helps!

Hey squintnic , adding one more vote for Points mode support on V-GPU here. So far there is no workaround really - but if you are looking for a compromise with quality to gain speed, try Fog mode instead. Watch out not to exceed your memory though - start with a high voxel size and gradually decrease it until you gain enough detail.

      Cheers!

Thanks Svetlin for the specific suggestion, i ended up using this method and didnt exceed memory.
