  • Breaking aquarium, best method?

    Hi,

I've been asked to create what is effectively an aquarium window breaking and the water draining away.

I just tried creating an initial fill up grid with pre-broken pieces as the pane of glass.

Grid is closed on all sides other than the shattered side.

I was expecting when adaptive turned on, and the pieces removed/animated the grid would expand in that direction - but it doesn't.

Should I be looking at cascade simulators or am I missing something obvious?

Should I be not bothering with initial fill up and fill the tank with a source first?

    Thanks,

    Steve

Initial fill (turned on in the dynamics) will create a constant fill up at all times to the set level. Use geometry and set the initial fill in the phoenix object properties. This should act like Brush mode for 1 frame and then it shall flow out towards the opened side of the grid.
