Pay-as-you-go licensing for V-Ray with Deadline 8

Hello guys,

A lot of customers requested the ability to license V-Ray on-demand, on a pay-as-you-go basis. I'm happy to say that we have partnered with Thinkbox to provide that capability as part of the up-coming Deadline 8:

We might be able to provide this capability on our own in the future, but having that as part of Deadline makes a lot of sense, especially when licensing for multiple products needs to be handled.

Yes, Deadline can manage render slaves only

Workstation licenses are a bit more problematic with this approach, as you may leave your UI open, go for a coffee break or something... metered usage is not a good idea in that case. Renting for a month or several seems to me a better approach.
