  • Burned out areas due to GI

    Hi

I've learned that when I use a low GI to get a bit more powerful shadows and more realistic outdoor lighting,
I get some burned out areas that have a slight color of the GI color I have chosen.

    Why is that?

    Hi,

Actually I'm not sure if I understand the issue correctly here. I don't see any burned out areas in the renderings above. Can you provide some additional details and a test scene maybe ?

If you are lowering the multiplier, then you are just getting less GI on the house. The primary "sun" stays the same, the "sky" is darker, thus giving a darker colour. If you want to get more contrast for the shadow/light, then I recommend you to change the lighting sources themselves. Or breakdown render by elements and work with each separately.
