  • VRayDisplacemntMod does not recognize disabled tiling when UV scaling with UVW Xfrom Mod

When scaling UVs with UVW Xfrom Mod, VRayDisplacemntMod will tile displacement even if you disable Tex Tile check.

There is no problem on the Texture map side. VRayDisplacemntMod wants to work the same as Texture maps.

We just need to control the UV scale using the UVW Xform Mod. and need to use VRayDisplacemntMod to use 2D Displacement.

    Is there a solution?

    V-Ray Next 1.1 and V-Ray 3.6 same.

This is already addressed in the footnotes of the VRayDisplacementMod documentation page here:
      https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...isplacementMod

"The 2D mapping (landscape) method will ignore the Tiling parameters specified in the textures themselves; as a side effect, this means that it will not work with the Real-world map size options in the Bitmap and other textures. Instead, you must modify the UVW coordinates of the object, or use the 3D mapping method."

        understood.
But is this specification algorithmic limit?
If possible, this restriction should be removed.

Currently, there isn't a way to make this work.
