  • V-Ray Wish Item: Bake and Cache Texture network Node

Please create a node that can be used in the slate editor to Bake a texture network. - I know maps like fresnel cant be baked - Its a tool for Baking Complex Texture networks and Masks. It would be like Renderman Bake Node

Man Im going crazy with the suggestions today!

Looks interesting, thanks for the pointer - will think about it. A node like this allows you to shoot yourself in the foot very easily though - for example if you have the same material applied on different objects or different instances of the same object.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

It should have a blur parameter.
And if possible, as an option, use the ptex format so its not needed to have proper uv's.
German guy, sorry for my English.

        Thanks Vlado

I have been trying to make the process of creating masks and baking them as fast and easy as possible - that's why I've been testing the dirt and curvature maps so much. We need a system like in Substance Designer where we generate a variety of preset bake Masks.

I also love the idea of baking to Ptex ~ Do you mean Blur Or Bleed? - on that note, it should have blur and bleed options

Vlado, what do you think of my other suggestions?
