Hello,
Phoenix FD RC is on the site. We have a couple of new features:
- Phoenix FD for Maya help with the installation (still not available officially on spot3d)
- Wavelet turbulence on second pass (i.e. to increase the resolution on existing simulation)
- simulation of particles, foam and splashes on second pass
- tweak parameters/add new output channels on second pass (depending on the parameters the result may be not physically accurate, or correct at all)
- discharge modificators that can controll discharge, temperature, smoke, fuel, velocity and particles emission based on some parameter of the source - it's speed, position, normal and random in world, grid or object space.
- new improved method for interaction between Phoenix simulators, i.e. the "cascades" method.
- a sample how to use PhoenixFD with DMM
- ability to change the default cache path. Also right click on the open button now shows the available caches in the current path (for quick navigation)
Here is the change log:
[bug] Rare crash with the OpenGL preview
[bug] Crash when emitting from particles that are dying inside the simulator
[bug] Crash with liquid simulation with fuel channel, when the fuel is not set as output channel
[bug] Wrong emission when using 2 face sets from one rigid body
[bug] Random crash when stopping the simulation
[bug] PhoenixFD texture is not working properly with motion blur
[bug] Air field do not work properly with the simulator
[bug] Can't enter a negative gravity vector
[bug] Camera projection mapping during simulation is not working
[bug] Wrong per particle radius with particle sources
[modified feature] Restore resimulation from base simulation cache if the velocity channel is not present
[modified feature] Waiting mode for the resimulation
[modified feature] Reduce the GPU memory consumption when using diffuse lighting
[modified feature] PhoenixFD must be installed in its own directory
[new feature] Ability to restore the simulation in batch mode
[new feature] Option Var to run PhoenixFD in "safe mode"
[new feature] Resimulation of fluids with optional wavelet turbulence
[new feature] Resimulation of particles
[new feature] Installer must include option to install offline version of the help
[new feature] Option for direct transfer when a simulator is used as a non-solid source
[new feature] Ability to specify custom default cache path
