  • V-Ray 3.60.02 for Maya now available!

    We have just released an update to V-Ray 3.6 for Maya. The builds are available for download on the Chaosgroup website.

    The full change log is below:

    New features:
    (*) V-Ray: Added an option for setting a maximal mip-map resolution for draft renders;
    (*) VFB: Added vfbControl -testresolution command;
    (*) VFB: Added vray hideVFB command;

    Bug fixes:
    (*) V-Ray: Fixed Render Setup not working with render elements on Maya 2018 Update 1;
    (*) VRayFur: Fixed crash with textured parameters;
    (*) VFB: Fixed the copy to clipboard button not copying the whole final image;
    (*) VFB: Loading a Multichannel EXR now loads the additional channels;
    (*) VFB: Fixed Maya scene marked as changed when the VFB loses focus;
    (*) MultiMatte: Color corrections are no longer applied to MultiMatte;
    (*) V-Ray IPR: Fixed fatal error with a curve connected to a point light's radius;

    (*) Denoiser: Fixed denoiser interrupting command line render;
    (*) VRaySoftbox: Fixed wrong rendering in animation;
    (*) VRayTriplanar: Fixed triplanar texture not working with VRayUserColorTex texture;
    (*) VRayTriplanar: Fixed artifacts with triplanar used for bump;
    (*) VRayProxy: Fixed wrong number of geometry samples with certain proxy files;
    (*) VRayProxy: Fixed velocity on proxies from Houdini with Subdivision;
    (*) ply2vrmesh: Fixed wrong normals when converting from geo/bgeo;
    (*) VRayPluginNode: Fixed IPR updates;
    (*) V-Ray: Fixed error when rendering NURBS object;
    (*) V-Ray: Fixed crash with Render Setup with VRayExtraTex;
    (*) V-Ray IPR/VRayPhysicalCamera: Fixed constant refreshes with physical camera when moving the timeline;
    (*) VRayVolumeGrid: Fixed Maya fluids with Auto Resize rendering with motion blur during resize;
