  • Physical camera exposure changes with distance (huh?)

I'm noticing that the brightness of the render using the physical camera changes with distance. Closer gets darker, and further away gets brighter. Is this an error? Is it some "added feature" f a real camera that I am no aware of? Can someone suggest how best to work with this?

    thanks

It's not an error - it is an effect that is observable with real-world cameras as well (at least, we observed it ) Usually it is auto-compensated by digital cameras, but we don't yet have this.

    Best regards,

Okay, that being the case, I imagine that a professional cinematographer would then need to adjust for this when doing a move where the camera pull in, right. Can someone shed some light on how this would be dealt with in a real world situation? I don't think it is really even possible to zoom the exposure on an actual camera is it? I know I can do this in Vray, I just want to get a feel for how it would be dealt with in a real world setting. Thanks!
