  • Flicker at Maya Fluid Clouds

Although GI is inactive, adding extra Vray Attributes to Maya Fluid Clouds and rendering will cause flicker.

disable the "Use light cache" option of Vray Attributes, flicker disappears.

Is Maya Fluid Clouds calculating LightCache interporation even if GI is inactive?
Is it not automatically calculated by Brute Force?

Confirm with Maya 2018 + V-Ray Next for Maya, hotfix 1 version 4.04.02.00010

Use Light cache: This option refers to the internal Volume Grid Light Cache, which is not related to the V-Ray Light Cache.
^^ From the volume grid documentation. I guess the Light Cache option on the fluid attributes is referring to the same 'Light Cache' scheme?

      hello, Dan

      Thanks for the hint.
I noticed it now. understood it.

It may be better to change the label of "Use light cache" option to "Use internal volume grid light cache".

      Best wishes
