  • Maya version 3.60.01 can hang on scene translation

Hi just a strange one. It seems there is a bug with Maya 2018 and V-Ray version 3.60.01.
Sometimes it can be fine to render the same scene for an hour or two but the situation can come up where the scene translation gets stuck and the CPU thread is taken up but it hangs indefinitely.

Does it happen on every scene or only with a specific one? Can you attach an example file?

Next time when Maya hangs generate dump through Task manager . Please send us the dump file and let us know which V-Ray 3.60.01 build version you are using?

          Ok, I will.

I was using one of the recent ones from late August. But they all seem to do it.

I don't think we managed to reproduce this here on our end.
Is this reproducible on your end only with a particular scene? If yes, is it reproducible every time? If yes, can you send us the scene?
