  • Vraymultisubtex Alpha Channels in Maya

    Hi all,

I'm attempting to use Vraymultisubtex to be able to have multiple textures with alphas applied to a MASH network of polygon planes in a quick way.

I've got 30+ EXR files that go to colorCorrect nodes, that then into the multisubtex node, that then goes to a VrayMtl. I need to be able to use the alpha channel from these files to drive the opacity channel of the shader, is this possible?

Whilst I'm here if a developer happens to look at this thread, is there any chance you could advise with my problem in the following thread? I'm not sure whether to send a message to the chaos support or not...

    Many thanks for your time.

Yes, just plug MultiSubTex map into Opacity map of VRayMtl and apply the alpha-texture following the same order as into the Color slot.
