  • Rhino PBR Materials not converted correctly in Rhino 7

    Hello,

currently im working in Rhino 7 (WIP 7.0.20196.12025, 14.07.2020) and trying to convert Rhino PBR Materials with the _vrayMtlFromRhino command into Vray (4.20.02).
While Materials are shown correctly in the RhinoRender, the converted Material looks completly different rendered in Vray (without Detail, wrong Reflection amount, no bump etc.).

Is there a way to convert Rhino PBR Materials into Vray correctly?
I noticed that the converted Materials are not anymore a PBR Material in Vray. Does that matter?
Also there is an another issue, where the _vrayMtlFromRhino is only working on surfaces but not meshes. Is there a workaround?

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Best,

I think Rhino PBR are not supported at moment.

To convert materials you can use the Type dropdown in Rhino material editor (it also works with multiple items).

Thanks for your answer and help. I'll put the pbr converted material on the wishlist.
