  • rhino crashes to desktop when trying to insert an embeded+linked block

Since installing Vray 3.6 my Rhino crashes to desktop whenever I tried to insert a block. First I thought it might have to do with the file being made in older vray.
I can however import the exact same file into another Rhino instance: the objects render correctly. So I exported the objects again and after that I tried to insert the same objects as block instance. I got the existing materials dialog, and after selecting overwrite all existing materials apply all, Rhino crashed again. This is a huge issue...

This is really problematic... can't open files anymore that contain blocks, they crash after the material conflict dialog. If I select rename or replace, it doesn't crash but hangs and I have to kill Rhino through the task manager.

      Hello, Gijs,
This was an issue with the initial 3.6 release build. It was hotfixed on day 2.
Please visit download.chaosgroup.com , download V-Ray for Rhino again and reinstall it.
Let me know if this resolves the issue.

      Kind regards,
      Peter

excellent. I didn't download it in the first place because it was the same filename, so I thought I already had the latest. But glad it fixed this issue!
