    How can I do that?

    Hello,

100% compatibility of v2.0 materials cannot be guaranteed. While some edge cases remain, and older (binary .vismat) materials are not supported, you should have no problem loading or working v2.0 .vrmat files. If you have a particular material not rendering properly, please send it and its associated texture assets at support@chaosgroup.com for investigation.
For further info about the changes between v2.0 and v3.4, go to https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...vious+Versions .

    Kind regards,
    Peter

The reason some materials might no longer render exactly the same way as before is due to changes in their functionality. In V-Ray 3.4 a multitude of improvements to material creation and parameters have been made, while some older ones are no longer used. Such discrepancies have been covered for the most part, however, if you ever spot a material which produces unsatisfactory result (compared to how it rendered in v2.0), simply save it as a .vrmat file and send it together with its associated texture files at support@chaosgroup.com for investigation.
For further info, visit https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...vious+Versions .

Regarding the upgrade policy - there are two ways to purchase V-Ray 3 for Rhino:
        • Acquire brand new licenses at full price.
        • Upgrade existing v2.0 licenses to v3.0 at a discounted price.
As you mentioned, you have upgraded your old v2.0 licenses to v3.4. This means your licenses have been permanently changed to only work with v3.4. The reason you have been able to use V-Ray 2.0 up until now is due to the extra v2.0 licenses our Sales team has provided you for a limited period to ease the transition between versions. Such complimentary licenses are not a standard practice and are only distributed upon request.
For further questions, please send an email at sales@chaosgroup.com .

        Kind regards,
