  • Render Nodes

    We are having problems with the render nodes. What happens is they are enabled and assigned but don't render until I manually turn the usage slide down to 0% and then back to 100%. After that one will begin to render for a few seconds and then become unstable. Also, the swarm settings page displays the wrong version of V-Ray on my PC. Any advice/solutions?

    Thanks

    Do you see any error in the node's logs - http://IP_Address:24267/log - where IP_Address is the IP address of the node that goes into UNSTABLE status.
    If your render nodes are Windows machines - make sure that you have installed on all machines - x64 bit versions:

    - VC++ 2010 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/Down....aspx?id=14632
    - VC++ 2015 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=48145

    The behavior looks like the V-Ray build starts to transfer to the render nodes and fails - that can happen if the redistributables are missing or if an Antivirus is blocking the transfer - I've seen Bitdefender doing that.
    Another possible reason is missing licenses - make sure the license configuration points towards the machine with V-Ray license server installed - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...ration-License
