  • Ignore in Secondary gone? Vray for Rhino 3.6

    Hi,

I want an object to throw shadow on a plane but I don't want the plane to be visible, just the shadow and the reflections.
As far as I remember in the "old" vray 2.0 this was done with: ignore in secondary
But in the new vray I can't find this option.
Is there any way to do this??

I found there is a wrapper thing, but I can't figure out how it works....

    Thank you!

    Hi gbuschta,

The Ignore in Secondary option was not going to help in your case.
You can use the Matte_Shadow_Receiver material from the library Diagrammatic category.
It'll create a Wrapper material with the proper options set and a Generic material used as a base.
You should then apply the Wrapper to the geometry.

Note: If you also want to see reflections on the ground you can just make the Reflection color of the Generic material white.

    Regards,
    Konstantin

So, seems that I'm too stupid for that. - where do I find the library Diagrammatic category in Rhino?
Thank you very much for your help!
