    Hello,

I've already read some posts apparently with the same problem. When I have most of my plugins enabled, I get a bugsplat with the following message:
    code:
    Error Loading File C:/Program Files/Chaos Group/V-Ray/V-Ray for SketchUp/extension/ruby/init.rb
Error: #<StandardError: Failed to initialize V-Ray>
    C:/Program Files/SketchUp/SketchUp 2017/Tools/RubyStdLib/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:54:in `require'
    C:/Program Files/SketchUp/SketchUp 2017/Tools/RubyStdLib/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_require.rb:54:in `require'
    C:/Program Files/Chaos Group/V-Ray/V-Ray for SketchUp/extension/ruby/init.rb:1:in `<top (required)>'
    C:/Program Files/SketchUp/SketchUp 2017/Tools/extensions.rb:197:in `require'
    C:/Program Files/SketchUp/SketchUp 2017/Tools/extensions.rb:197:in `load'
    C:/ProgramData/SketchUp/SketchUp 2017/SketchUp/Plugins/vfs.rb:26:in `register_extension'
    C:/ProgramData/SketchUp/SketchUp 2017/SketchUp/Plugins/vfs.rb:26:in `<module:VRay>'
    C:/ProgramData/SketchUp/SketchUp 2017/SketchUp/Plugins/vfs.rb:4:in `<top (required)>'

It seems to be related to extensions conflict because when I disable all of them v-ray loads normally.
I did some tests and couldn't find a particular extension, it's more like a combination of some that create the problem.
I can provide the list of extensions and plugins that I have installed if it helps. I'm using SU Pro 2017 and V-Ray for SU 3.60.01.
If there's any fix I would appreciate since it's annoying to have to enable and disable the extensions everytime.

    best regards,

    Caetano

    Hello, Caetano,

This is a know issue. Current workaround is to disable the SketchUp plugin "Dynamic Components". The issue will be completely resolved with the 3.60.02 hotfix update we're preparing.

    Kind regards,
    Peter

Hello Peter, thanks for your reply. Unfortunatly, disabling "Dynamic Components" doesn't solve the problem for me if I have all of my other extensions enabled. I've done some tests like disabling all plugins and leaving "Dynamic Components" on, and V-Ray works perfectly. What it seems, is that it's a combination of plugins that triggers the problem.
I can still provide the list of plugins if you want.

      Best regards,

      Caetano

        Thank you for your reply!
Unfortunately, there is no fast way to troubleshoot this problem - it might take some time to selectively test which 3rd-party extension (or combination of multiple ones) is not compatible with V-Ray 3.6.
If you could manage to single it out, please let me know which extension (and its version) in combination with V-Ray is causing the issue.

        Kind regards,
        Peter

          Hello Peter,

I've been trying to find wich plugin or extension is causing the problem but had no success. If you want to do a remote session, if it helps, just tell me and we can arrange the time. Anyway, I'll keep doing some tests when possible.
          Best regards,

          Caetano

Clean install of Sketchup 2018 due to Win 10 problems. No plug-ins whatsoever. Trying to open the materials editor on Vray 3.6 causes a total Bugsplat-crash.
Re-installed Vray 3.6 several times to no-avail. Any suggestions?

I am getting the same Load Error message when starting Sketchup 2018. It is followed by immediate and repeated crash. Disabling dynamic components plugin does not work for me either. For some reason Vray seems to be loading and working fine in Sketchup 2016. I am unable to use Vray or even Sketchup 2018 at this point.

I have found that with Dynamic Components disabled and the Sketchucation plugin disabled I am able to use Vray 3.06 and all my other plugins in SU 2018. This problem was not present in SU 2016.
