Here's my update. After upgrading my expensive rendering software more than a month ago, I am constantly uninstalling, reinstalling vray, or disabling, then enabling all my plugins in Sketchup, depending on whether I want to model or render at any given time.

Peter - Will do. Appreciate it and thanks for the quick response!

Brooklyn - I feel your pain....I've lost years off my life since November. I believe once I get a stable workstation again, I'm not upgrading anything ever again until I'm forced to at gunpoint.... ;/P

I too did not make any changes to SketchUp, no updates to extensions, just all of a sudden started throwing errors on me again.

As GD3DESIGN said, Vray only works when all extensions (including SketchUp's own). Hardly ideal.

            Just installed the update.

I am happy to report that 3.60.02 version does address the strange launch crash!

Woo-hooooo! Congrats. I'm about to shut down and install update....wish me luck! (I was having crashes this morning trying to get Skatter to load....would hang for too long and I'd have to shut down every time I tried to load. Going to reinstall everything....hopefully will be fixed.))

Happy to report a successful upgrade. All plugins enabled and running smoothly. Even ran a test render with Skatter/Laubwerk and good to go. Thanks for all your hard work, Chaos!
