  • 3.6 / Render same scene in two different Macs = one closer to the object

    Hi,

I was wondering if any of you have the same problem: I have done 2 renders of the same scene (same project, same file) in two different computers (with different monitor size but both with Skp 2017 + vray 3.6) and the results are not the same.

They do have same resolution (pixels), however one rendered image is closer to the objects of the scene (like a zoom in) and the other one looks just fine as expected. I have used the very basic Vray settings.

Do you know the reason of this? And what can I do to have the same resulting render image in both computers?

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello, Lorenzo,

In case you haven't already contacted support@chaosgroup.com , please share the project (saved using Extensions > V-Ray > Pack Project) for investigation. You can use a file-sharing service of your choice.
Has the issue ever occurred with different scenes or just that specific one?
Do the two machines have different screen aspect ratio? Is there any difference how the viewport is framed when you toggle Safe Frame on?

    Kind regards,
    Peter

      Hi Peter,

I have sent all the materials to Georgi last week.

Yes, the machines have different screen/aspect ratio, and with Safe Frame on they look already different on each machine.

      By resetting
and creating a new scene problem seems resolved. But I am investigating bit more as soon as I have some time and keep you updated in this.

      Best,
