Seams like a nice update even if I'm quit new to Vray. One question thought, how do I make and import animated proxy? Something simple as moving water would be really nice to make if you can make a gif to a website.

Such animated proxies can either be created using V-Ray in other host apps with animation capabilities (e.g. V-Ray for 3ds max, Maya) and saved as a V-Ray Proxy or simply done in any other software able to export animated alembic files.

              Kind regards,
              Peter

Okay, found this video but as I don't have any other program with animation capabilities I have to skip that function wish seams really nice.

vicke50 You could try Blender which exports .abc (alembic) files. I tried a simple moving and rotating cube animation from blender to sketchup and it seemed to work. I didn't have time yet to try and animate trees and such. You can find Blender as a free download at www.blender.org

How do you convert .abc file to .vrmesh? I found this guide on Chaos website but if I try to open the ply2vrmesh application it just close again after a few seconds.

                      edit: found how to do

                        Hi

You don't have to convert abc file to vrmesh, you could import alembic directly with Vray

Saw that in Sketchup but I can't get it to work with the blender file i tested, will try something more simpel first when I have time to test Blender a bit more.
