  • Swarm Status - Unstable

What does it mean when a swarm node's status is listed as Unstable?

"Unstable" server status means that this machine can not access free V-Ray license. If you have enough V-Ray Render Node 3.0 license , then V-Ray license server settings is not input.
Please use the link below in order to change the V-Ray Primary license server information with the ip address of the machine where V-Ray license is available:
    https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...eConfiguration
    https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...UP/V-Ray+Swarm

First make sure when you open the following address in your web browser "http://IP_Address:24267/configuration", and in the upper right corner it is "Disabled".
Then please proceed with changing the V-Ray license server information. Please note: "Use system license configuration" should not be checked.
The address should be ip_address:30304, where the ip_address is the address of the machine where V-Ray license server is running and V-Ray licenses activated and available.
The port 30304 should be opened through the firewalls and the antivirus programs.

Let us know if the above suggestion helped you.

What does it mean when there is a star by a machine name in the Swarm UI?

      Thanks,

Never mind. It is the "master node". Got it.
