    I have a texture on an object (let`s say a tv) that I want to make emissive to better emulate a tv. If I copy the diffuse map to the emissive color map , it works great with one exception: every time the original mapping get`s messed up.
    Is there another way?

    First open diffuse map and activate the up right eye icon.. Than add emissive layer..

      You can also undo the operation, and it actually reverts back to original UV sizing with the current emissive settings.
