  • assign random color per object

So it would be nice to have an option where you can assign a material to different objects that changes color per object.
For instance I want to have a nice autumn scene. Some trees have red leaves, some still green etc. It would be nice if you can make a material based on one leaf texture that uses a color ramp as color correction per tree. So you use a gradient that goes from red to yellow to green for example. That gradient is overlayed on top of the original texture.
It would be great to create diversity like this.

I hope I explained my wish good enough?

peerman I'm not sure if you've seen this, but I think it might work for you: http://www.sketchuparchive.com/produ...tex-10-colors/

Ramp Texture is something the Dev team would like to introduce. It should completely cover what you suggested. Planning is still in early stage so there's no time frame I can share yet.

      Kind regards,

could multisub text also not work in this situation? and then randomize by render id or node id (depending on how the geometry is made/imported)

          Yes, it is doable.
Ramp texture will, however, offer finer control.
