  • V-Ray Toon- option to not show touching edges

    Hello,

would be nice to have an option in v-ray toon material to only apply the toon effect on the contours, and not in touching edges. I usually build my models in groups that represent walls and slabs of each floor, because I generate construction documents with them, and found out that's the best way for my workflow. The problem with v-ray toon mat is that it will apply the toon effect to where the wall meets the slabs. It would be nice to have an option to ignore those. I'm attaching a scrren shot to explain better: In the image there's 2 boxes grouped, and with the toon mat applied the lines where the 2 boxes connect have the effect as well. I'd like that I could show only the contour lines.

    Best regards,

    Caetano

    Noted.
This is the current behavior for both ToonMtl and TexEdges. I'll pass the suggestion along, although I'm not certain to what extend it would be possible.

    Kind regards,

      Hello Peter,

Thanks. Having this would be very helpfull to make some concept renders without joing all the geometry of the model. Enscape have this feature already. I know it's a completely diferent renderer, but maybe it's possible in v-ray.

      Best,

      Caetano
