  • VrayLightMtl will not render with alpha sequence

We are about to render out an animation and found that our fire is not rendering out right. We have a sequence of fire in .tga files with alpha built in. We are using VrayLightMtl with the sequence in the Color and Opacity. It does not find or use alpha. We have even tried making alpha .jpg sequence for it also and that doesn't work in opacity either. how do we fix this, we are on a tight deadline?

    Thanks you in advance

It this RT GPU? The opacity slot is not working there yet.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

Yes it is RT GPU. Is there a workaround? I even tried to use the self-illumination slot in the VrayMtl but that didn't work either.

Should be working with VRayMtl's opacity + self illumination slot -

THank you for the help, But it doesn't work no matter what I do. Are you sure your using RT GPU? It just makes the entire plane disappear when I add it to opacity.

you know whats really weird, it works right in Interactive Rendering mode, but not in final render. what the hell?

I think I got it to work putting it in refraction instead of opacity...what a pain.

I definitely want to take a look at this, can you send me a simplified version of the scene?

Actually it's better if you supply me with a email, the textures are payed assets from a company.

The file is 39MB don't know if your email under your name will support that size.

You can try directly sending it or upload it somewhere and email me the link.
