    Hi Dusan,

The color mapping mode is set to 'Linear multiply' gamma to '2.2' and 'Don't affect colors' is on.
The 'sRGB' option is enabled in the VFB. If an 8-bit image is saved the gamma curve will be applied (embedded), while 32-bit images will be saved without it.
This setup is perfect for 32-bit compositing and post production.

    Regards,
    Konstantin

      Thanks Konstantin,

That definitely allays some of my fears, as THAT is the workflow that I have always setup in VRfSU given that it is the one that gives the MOST flexibility, especially so for a post production/ render element workflow.

      Really appreciate the input.

      Regards
      BrianB

PS - I really should also say a BIG well done to the VRfSU team, although a few things have been a bit of a shock, it really does look like a fantastic release. I will be starting production of a new Lynda.com course
for V3 next month so will let you know if I run into any important workflow issues.

I was hoping, with this release, UI is going to be like that.
I think the biggest advantage of vray is that ui and options are very similar between platforms.

Swarm UI is part of the NeUI for both Win and Mac OS, meaning distributed rendering can be initiated using both Mac OS or Windows machines.
Hi Peter, does the above mean that as per previous releases we can use 10 windows machines via swarm as part of the standard release? Or do we need to purchase additional licenses to populate swarm? Its very confusing!

From what I can gather it seems that there are no swarm nodes available within the standard new release which is incredibly disappointing for people upgrading when they are coming from a version which carries 10. As a small office of only 3 people there is no incentive for us to upgrade when it means paying to lose features. Its even more frustrating when the smallest amount of node licenses you can buy is 5!

            Hello, LOAM,

You should be able to upgrade any number of your current V-Ray 2.0 render node licenses. Same goes for purchasing additional ones - there is no minimum bundle size.
The new V-Ray render node licenses can be used by any of our products, not just V-Ray 3.4 for SketchUp. My colleagues from the Sales team will be happy to answer any of your questions, I have already notified them. Simpy send us an email at sales@chaosgroup.com

            Kind regards,
            Peter Chaushev

Hi LOAM, you get 1 workstation license and 1 render node license with a single V-Ray 3 for SketchUp purchase. Email me and I'll help you get to where you want to be with your licenses.
              Best regards,

                Hi,Corey
I don't know whether the trail build is the final release version or not. But some bugs like render elements(black skatter assests matID) still remain.
EV slider is not comfortable enough than previous build
In interactive rendering mode,group/Instances/nested group disapper from VFB when editing,at least some function like refresh interactive rendering can improve this situation IMO.
Hope these bugs could be fixed in the next released.
